Only guitar or piano and voice which sometimes is multitracked to harmonize with herself. And you hear at once that she's an accomplished player and singer. You get a proof already of that on the opening-track "Rod's Song". ARMANDE ALTAI - Héroïnes Fantaisie 1944년 프랑스 출신의 아르만데 알타이. 오페라와 락을 아우르는 크로스오버계의 여왕이라고 하던데, 얼마 전 인터뷰를 봤을 때 나이를 실감할 수 없던 포스를 봐선 그 이름이 아깝지 않은 듯. 개인적으론 hard rock보다는 progressive가 더 취향에 맞았다. 팝적인 요소가 강한 Kimiko와 그 보다 더 강한 All Around는 추천 트랙. 2008. 3. 8. St. Vincent - Marry Me 요새 한창 February/March U.S. Tour로 바쁜 St. Vincent. St. Vincent는 Annie Clark의 1인밴드로서 Polyphonic Spree의 멤버이며, (내 기준으로) 쪼금 더 유명한 Sufjan Stevens씨의 유럽투어에 참여하기도 했다. 처음 들었을 땐, 별 감흥이 없었을 뿐더러 사실 좀 뻔한 앨범 아닌가 싶었다. 여느 Female Singer-Songwriter가 대체로 그러하듯, 극적인 요소가 있는 앨범 정도로 생각했었다. 그리고 얼마 후, 그냥 그런 마음으로 두번째로 들었을 때, 전에 들었던 그 노래가 맞나 싶을 정도로 전혀 다른 느낌으로 다가왔다. 참 이상한 앨범이다. 특히 7번 트랙 The Apocalypse Song의 창법이 흥미로웠는데, 자연스럽게 S.. 2008. 2. 22.
